Lak Law Firm is located in the city of Thornhill, province of Ontario, and provides full legal services in the areas of corporate law, real estate law, wills & estates, and uncontested family matters.
Lak Law Firm was founded in January 2017 with a vision to provide legal services using plain and easy terminology to make the law understandable for our clients from different backgrounds.
Lak Law Firm believes in education, and we aim to help our clients understand their legal rights and what they should expect throughout the process of a real estate or corporate transaction, or their family and wills and estate matters.

Parinaz Lak

Parinaz is a real estate and corporate lawyer and the founder of Lak Law Firm.

Prior to forming this firm, Parinaz worked for a boutique law firm in Toronto, where she advised clients on a broad range of corporate/commercial, real estate and estate planning matters.

She has served as a volunteer in various capacities with: The Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, the Iranian Canadian Center for Art and Culture, and Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights.

She holds a law degree from Shiraz University, Iran (J.D.), a Masters in International Law (LL.M.) from Tehran University, Iran, and a Masters in Law (LL.M.) from the University of Toronto. Parinaz is also a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Iranian-Canadian Legal Professionals, the Ontario Bar Association and the Iranian Association for United Nations Studies. Parinaz is fluent in English and Farsi.

Maryam Nassiri

Maryam’s undergraduate degree is in Chemical Engineering. After coming to Canada in 2003, she continued her education and completed an advanced diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology from Seneca College. Post-graduation, Maryam was employed as a chemistry laboratory instructor at Seneca College for 2 years, as well as professional tutoring students in multi-disciplinary sciences. In 2019, Maryam decided to change career paths and began formal education in a Law Clerk program at CST College. After successfully completing the Law Clerk program with high recognition from her peers, Maryam was working as a Real Estate law clerk with a law firm in Barrie for a few years. Maryam joined Lak Law Firm in December 2022 as a Real Estate clerk. She loves her job and is eager to learn and grow her skills in Real Estate, Corporate as well as Wills and Estates law. Outside of the office, Maryam spends her time with family and friends, watching movies, swimming and working out.

Kia Amidi Rad

Kia is a student at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University. He has a strong interest in Business, Tax, and Real Estate law, and is currently working with Lak Law Firm as a Law student/ legal assistant.
During his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, he specialized in accounting, which he believes will complement his legal knowledge and skillset. With his education and passion, he is committed to making meaningful contributions to the legal profession.

Fancy Ren

Fancy is currently a LLM student at Osgoode Hall. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and holds a law degree from the University of Birmingham in England.
Prior to attending law school, Fancy obtained a Paralegal certificate from Centennial College and worked primarily in the area of real estate law in boutique law firms in the GTA, providing services in both English and Mandarin.
Outside of the office, Fancy enjoys watching films, learning about renaissance and baroque art, and collecting vinyl records.

Unfortunately, in my case, she treated very unprofessionally and unfairly.I purchased a prebuilt unit and asked Ms. Lak to review the purchase agreement.As the attached screenshot of my email shows, I clearly mentioned my expectations before they set a Zoom meeting time.She has not looked at my agreement before the meeting since she even did not know the purchased unit is a house or townhouse at the beginning of meeting. When I asked her to email the lawyer of the seller company for clarifying something, she denied and said I have to pay her more money for communicating with seller's lawyer.My complain is that, although I explicitly stated my expectations from her in an email before setting the meeting time, she proceeded to set the meeting time and charge me in advance. If she would not like to meet my expectations, she must inform me, stop proceeding her service, and return the money which was already E-transferred to her firm.After the meeting, I felt as a someone who was defrauded.
